Can I switch my pet over to The Grateful Pet diet even if I have been feeding other types of food or brands so far?

Absolutely! As with switching to any new brand of food, the diet should be introduced slowly. Start by mixing 1/5 (for pets more prone to tummy issues) or 1/3 (for pets who can tolerate most new meals) of The Grateful Pet into your buddy’s existing food. 

For pets more prone to tummy issues
Days 1-3, serve 25% of new food mixed with 75% old food
Days 3-5, serve 50% of new food mixed with 50% of the old food
Days 7-10, serve 75% of new food mixed with 25% of the old food
Day 11+, serve 100% of new food

For pets who can tolerate most new meals
Days 1-2, serve 35% of new food mixed with 65% old food
Days 3-4, serve 70% of new food mixed with 20% of the old food
Days 4-5, serve 100% of new food

Feel free to adjust the feeding proportions slightly as you observe your pet during the first few days.
